SUPER-UX OPERATION GUIDE

The SUPER-UX Operation Guide provides the operator with the topics required for operating the SUPER-UX operating system.

This manual is organized as follows:

• Chapter 1, Startup and Execution Modes, describes how to start up the SUPER-UX system.

• Chapter 2, Ending the System, describes how to terminate the SUPER-UX system.

• Chapter 3, System Failures and Handling, describes the types of system failures and how to handle them.

• Chapter 4, System Configuration Control, describes how to connect/disconnect devices, error logging, and hardware maintenance.

• Appendix A, System Error Messages, lists the system error messages, and explains the causes and actions to be taken.

• Appendix B, ISL Messages, lists the ISL messages and explains the causes and actions to be taken.

• Appendix C, SVP Messages, lists the SVP messages and explains the causes and actions to be taken.

• Appendix D, System Daemon Messages, lists the system daemon error messages and explains the causes and actions to be taken.

• Appendix E, Device Daemon Messages, lists the device daemon messages and explains the causes and actions to be taken.
